Wauchope’s undulating par 71 layout is centrally located to town with a couple of bowling greens and a large country club looking over the course. The facilities here are top rate for a regional track with lush fairways and carpet like greens. Bunkers and numerous water hazards are spread throughout the course and the tall trees that line the fairways put a strong emphasis on accuracy off the tee. Some feature holes include the 482m par 5 11th with a blind second shot over a crest and water lurking at the bottom of the hill, the right dogleg 319m par 4 12th and the 142m par 3 18th. This can be a tricky finishing hole with water left, sand right and two tall gums encroaching the tee shot. Overall, an interesting layout with well manicured greens and fairways located just 20 minutes from Port Macquarie makes a round at Wauchope a handy golfing option for the many travelers that flock to this scenic region.

Played here recently after a couple of years away, the course was in great shape, greens were fantastic, reasonably quick (although there must be a problem with the 13th Green mentioned earlier, it was a temporary green again, as was the 5th).

Course is very much worth a game, either in a comp or socially. I took advantage of the $12 after 2pm (in daylight saving) deal, on a Wednesday, and there were only 4 or 5 people on the course.

A quick update that the greens (including the infamous 13th) are now in excellent condition. Course looks a treat and a superb pro shop.

Played this course on the weekend and found it a very enjoyable course. It was still a little wet in places after the recent bad weather but the course was in excellent condition. The only downfall for the day was a temporary green in the thirteenth as the main green is being rebuilt once you got to the temp green it could take anywhere between 1 and 5 putts to get it in. The greens in general were in good condition but very inconsistent in roll.

This is a quiet but open course with elevated tees and excellent greens.

Because of the drought it's a bit dry but for the general player who wants to hit out, Wauchope is a good country course.

Locals have it most mornings but around lunch it's fairly free.

Not overly exciting but if you like shorter par 4 and 5's then try it.

A fairly flat course with minor water problems.

The club house is great, excellent bistro with T bones best buy.

Had a round there recently in the Thursday comp. The greens were very slick. Fairways were in surprisingly good condition considering the drought.

The course was interesting a couple of the par 3's were challenging with their small greens. In all was a pleasurable experience.

The bistro was excellent. The place is well worth a visit if you are in the area.
