Had a great time at the course. Kangaroos and wildlife everywhere, one of the most tranquil courses I have ever played on. Some challenging holes in amongst the beautiful scenery, extremely enjoyable, I would recommend it to anyone.

Par 70 with a longer front nine than back nine, the back nine being much narrower (particularly when there is some run). 6 Par 3s mostly reasonable holes, 8 shortish Par 4s ranging from about 235-360m and 4 flat Par 5s with only the 5th being reasonably tough with jungle right & a small dam left on a driving length. How most of the holes play is determined by the wind on the day (eg the day I played the 2nd turned from a 1/2 8iron over water to a 6 iron as good as I could hit it)! The back nine winds its way around a partially complete, the last 2 are two of the best on the course. Course in generally in good condition with front 9 greens gradually being replaced to match newer back 9 grass (bent to couch). $24 for 18 holes, mostly easy to access it's a good option to Port Macquarie GC (just a few minutes away) which is hard to get on outside comps (or set groups) with seem to be on every day.

I played here last week (21 Feb). The course was a bit wet from recent rain so it isn’t quite fair to comment on its condition.

But I’m not surprised to learn that the front nine was built before the back. It is as if the designers were told to make the back nine easier, as the front was too long for the locals.

The first few holes are good, next few OK but not very exciting, but the back nine is too short. 17 and 18 are good, but it’s as if they are on a different course after six 250m par 4’s and 120m par 3’s in a row. The primary market is probably the casual holiday maker rather than the serious golfer, so it fulfils that role OK.

Only play here if you can’t get a game, or don’t won’t to be held up by the crowds, at Port Macquarie.

Played the front 9 last week during a holiday at Port Macquarie and I was quite pleased with the challenge that the course provides. With the dense forest on the right side of the fairway on the 3rd and 5th holes, drives need to be accurate. As someone else said, 6 to 9 run parallel and you can afford to be a bit errant and still have a relatively clear 2nd shot to the green.

Overall a good test with some room for improvement.

Have played here often, and if you hit off the fairway, just FORGET finding your golfball. It disappears into the jungle. It is otherwise well kept, and you can enjoy some close viewing of kangaroos, and the occasional koala and gekko.

Despite the fact that it says this course has 18 holes it is actually a 9 hole course with more to come and I might add that it is a very good little public course with some of the best greens I have ever seen>
