I played "The Lakes"course today which is rated the hardest of the 3 combinations that you can play of the 27 hole layout. I was absolutely stunned as to how good it was. This was one of the best country courses I have ever played. A beautiful looking course with quality fairways, bunkers, water hazards, birdlife & tricky greens. This course is way better than many "top 100"courses that I have played. Fantastic!

Love it! All 26 holes!! Except for a pair of walking twits who wouldn’t let me play through (I was playing solo in a buggy) so I skipped a hole, everyone was friendly, welcoming and kind. The pro is a very friendly and helpful chap. Never mind the army of greenkeepers who are blind and will not stop for you. Luckily they are not deaf (as a local advised me) and will move swiftly when you yell the magic four-letter word beginning with F - Fore!! Will bring wife and friends next.

A fantastic 27 hole golf course which is only getting better with the redesign of the 9th Green and re-grassing of the front nine with couch giving consistency across all 27 holes.

This course is a real test with tree lined fairways a significant amount of water hazards and bunkers.

The course is not flat but it is a pretty good walk and very attractive golf course.

Just returned from playing four days here during the Coffs Harbour Golf Festival... where do I start. The course itself was in fantastic condition, the greens were quick and so true a 1000 times better than Bonville. All of the fairway/greenside bunkers play the same which is nice when you are in quite a few of them! Also as a visitor for the week all of the staff were friendly and helpful and they really put on a great week.

what a great warmup for Bonville. coming from Brisbane we played here and really enjoyed it. Greens were absolutely lightning fast and really enjoyable challenge. Loved having bunkers with good sand in them which courses in QLD could take a note from. Course was in great nick and is a must play if your in the area. only complaint was one of the staff in pro shop was a little rude and not very accommodating, but didn't take away from the day.

Get on!! I couldn't have been more impressed with the course. I played the West Lakes layout (19-27 & 1-9) on Thursday 24 Jan 2013, and it was fantastic. I was concerned that my round would be ruined when at 4am in the morning when there was a torrential downpour, but the amazing drainage meant that when I teed off at 7am you wouldn't know it had rained at all. The fairways were impeccable and the greens firm, fast and flat. I hit multiple greens from 100m-150m out and struggled to find pitch marks. I played with some local members who were friendly and made me feel right at home and let me ride in their cart. Obviously Bonville gets all the accolades in the area but if you're in the area you're doing yourself a disservice if you don't play here. If you play the 19th first (210m Par 3) it'll give you a nice test straight up!
