Travelled down from sydney to play comp here on a sunday. Had a 10.00 am tee off, and a social group in front of us so was not expecting a quick round. The pace was not bad till we hit the 12th and found the two groups in front from the social club had decided to join up and play the last seven holes together in a group of six. While waiting to tee off i spoke to a member who happened to be on the commitee of the club about the complete lack of respect and selfishness of the group ahead. He apologized and asked if i would make a complaint at the end of my round as this is the only way these matters can get brought before the board and resolved. He also told me that the group were all members of the club and should know better. I told him that it should not be up to him to apologize to me but thankyou for hearing me out. At the end of the round we told the pro shop what happened and gave them the name of the social group, only to be told as they have finished the round there is nothing we can do. Complete waste of time. Its not a bad little course, its just a shame that a few crap members will probably stop me from making the hour and a half drive down here again

I played at this course for the first time on the weekend at 7am. A beautiful looking course with the 9th and 10th holes being my favourite for a variety of reasons. A very challenging course which I enjoyed for a first time hit. I thought there were way too many sand bunkers surrounding the greens and the greens itself were like putting on a beach. I hope that changes in the near-future. The kiama golf club are promoting a 12 month membership right now for $585 and I might give it another round to see if I want to pay that sort of money for a course like this par 66 in the Illawarra.

Anyone who thinks this is a five star course is very easily pleased indeed. Kiama is a handy, honest country course that will suit those not looking to be overly challenged but want to enjoy a nice day out without risking too many balls. Reasonably priced green fees and worth a look if you haven't played there before. Head to Port Kembla if you're serious about golf and really want to play on the best course around Wollongong

This course might not be the longest in the Illawarra but is one of the tightest ones around. Any errant shots here on most holes and you could end up stuck under a pine tree more often than not. But mind you, the bases of the trees have been trimmed back much more now than in the old days when you never had a swing and had to take an unplayable. The signature hole, par 4 10th at about 290m is a great hole that tempts all better hitters to knock it on, however the result can be a watery grave if your short and right or be left with a difficult pitch on if the drive runs through the green. The thing that sets this course apart is the strength of its par 3's. You must score well on these to play well and there are some great ones. My picks are the 9th, about 155m uphill to an elevated green, also the 12th which is the longest - a par 3 at about 185m long. The course is very well kept at all times of the year. I consider it a 4 star track which I quite often only give to long championship courses around the country. This course is a great test of your short game and it should rank as one of the top courses in the area, alongside The Links Shell Cove, Port Kembla and The Grange Golf Club.

Good course in good condition. Played here during January. Fairly tight course which punishes almost all errant shots. Signature Par 4, 10th Hole a highlight - how any of the A graders get the ball to stop on the green when driving the tee is a mystery to me! Some well placed water hazards and bunkering. Nice clubhouse.

Dont let the nice background, the lucious greens, the fresh sth coast breezes nor the easy dog legs fool you. Although this is a short golf course, it is hard...

Many par 3s mean that your short game needs to be up to shape, otherwise, the hidden bunkers could mean ur raking skills need to be up to shape too!

It was my first time hitting off at this wonderful course, with my friend, and sponsered golfer peter bartels. We arrived at 7am to a half full carpark, and a nice day on the forecast. Due to popular friday morning crowds saw us teeing off at the 10th. Following by a nice back/front nine.

All in all, a perfect golf course. Staff were nice and friendly, and golfcourse is kept in a remarkable form!

Pick of the holes, would have to be the 18th, a relatively easy hole on paper, the subtle dogleg rite, leads to a complex approach or pin shot, depending on pin placement. A par on this hole, and you know you are doing well. (Even though my fellow golfer peter, found the carpark!!! So if you find a Nike Mojo 2, its his)

Highly recommend to the tour pro or the monthly hacker
