Had the pleasure of playing at Jamberoo. I couldn't believe the quality of the fairways and the greens, and those forced carries! This course is for the thinking golfer although I'm sure a power hitter would get a kick out of hitting their drives the 230 metre + carries that you need.

I would highly recommend the course to all.

This course has deteriorated over the last few years. Only 4 bunkers on the course. Greens are usually very slow. Kikuyu has penetrated the green edges, and on some there are even patches of paspalum in the green. Greens staff have not pruned trees over the years so many have encroached so far over the fairways that some fairways are almost unplayable. Bare patches that should be GUR are not marked and water hazards are not marked properly. Will not be renewing my membership.

played this course a number of times fairways not too bad greens ordinary at best not an overly friendly pro-shop disappointing that my golf mate being a young guy was admonished when cart battery went flat and was told it was how he was driving. When the attendant came out to swap it he saw i was an older person and he changed his attitude and was all smiles. will not play there again waste of my money

Brute force is hardly necessary at's mostly a thinkers track. Played in comp March 2010. Nice short course with creek crossings on several par fours at around driver length for average (180-200m) players.....those brave souls going for it must NAIL it to get across! Teeing off on the par 5 12th requires a hefty fade around a large overhanging tree for right handers if the fairway is to be found. Toughest holes would be the long par4 14th and long par3 15th with OOB right on both. A tip from this humble 16 marker...leave the driver at home, most par4's are around 300m, the few holes where it may be useful have OOB right!

I've played here on a number of occasions as a youngster and as a mate of Martin Frances, a former trainee pro here, and I understand that not much has changed there since the early 1990's. This course is not long by any standard, however there is water hazards strategically positioned at landing distances from the tees on the par 4's and par 5's, at around 200-230m from the tees. The greens were also quite small the last time I played there and with very few bunkers. I have memories of the small greens and not to mention the flies during summer :). Least if I go back there, I'll be old enough now for a beer at the old Jamberoo pub after the game. The hole I'll always remember here is a par 5 in the back corner of the course. It is a dogleg right with OB all the way down the right side. The green is up on a hill on the north-western boundary, with a water hazard just short of the green. For me this was the signature hole and stays engraved in my mind forever. With its short length, you must play better than your handicap in comp at Jamberoo to match the rating which most often than not is always less than its par. A very green and picturesque course, with great value for money for a short course but not as difficult as some tracks in the area.

Played here in January. Tight course promoting good course management with creeks and dams in landing zones. Big carry on the 1st from the back markers for a short iron to the green! Quiet a short course, however, being a long hitter not necessarily a benefit on a few of the par fours. Course needs a lot more bunkers, particularly around greens. There is water in play on about fourteen holes, but more bunkering would up the ante on course management. Flies everywhere due to cow paddocks surrounding course, play outside summer if possible.
