I have been playing the springs regularly 9 holes here and there and it is without a doubt one of the premier courses on the coast definitely a hidden gem.

Long enough for the A graders, the front 9 particularly the first 3 holes are a challenge

The greens are fast enough and rolling true, plenty of water to challenge and the grounds keepers are maintaining the course to an excellent condition

Terrific course.Challenging from the back markers.Travelled down from near Newcastle to play this morning and we had a great day out.Plenty of ponds scattered about the course but most don't come into play if you can get off the tee.Set in a rural area so very picturesque with plenty of bushland. We walked it today and found that no real problem although the course has a lot of undulations and elevated tees.Could do with a little more grass on the fairways in places but in all a relaxing game in a quiet country setting.Cart paths are nearly all tarred and plenty of staff there working on the course.Had lunch and a ale in the clubhouse after whilst sitting on the balcony overlooking the 18th green.Friendly pro shop and staff made for a very enjoyable day. Will definitely be back soon and would recommend it others.Green fees of $35 make this course affordable for most so try it out and enjoy.

Six of us played here for the first time two weeks ago. After two weeks of rain the course, as expected, was pretty wet underfoot but still in really good condition. I thoroughly enjoyed the course and will gladly add it to my regular Sydney course rota. It's an easy 30 min drive up the motorway from the edge of Sydney. It has plenty of memorable holes with some really beautiful views from the tee boxes. There are some very challenging holes and decisions to make on most tee shots but not everyone will like the many, many water hazards, some of which are completely hidden from the tee. Not helping this was the fact that some of our Garmin devices obviously had an old routing for the course so were completely useless. The clubhouse was beautiful and modern and the food fantastic. Looking forward to playing here in summer and trying out the bbq area that overlooks the 1st and 10th tees. The only thing that disappointed me was there wasn't a decent practice area or even a driving net to warm up with. The only area to warm up was pretty much just a paddock and you had to hit up a hill so no chance to hit a few drives or fairway woods before the round.

Played on a sunday morning, fairly challenging with tight fairways. The teeboxes weren't always flat and the greens were slow and bumpy. For the $45 green fee, we expected better conditions. Some heavy rain interrupted play but was impressed with the general drainage on the greens when we resumed. The clubhouse was however a nice complex, modern with chic & rustic touches. Wagyu beef burger lunch was good and the staff are professional and uniformed.

Well after holding 2 social days there in the last 2 weeks I can safely say that The Springs is back and on the path to greatness! Many of my players were new to the venue and all have expressed a desire to attack it again now knowing where the "hazards" are. Organising large groups was easy, one on a Sunday and one on a Friday, and all enjoyed the golf/lunch package. After a number of games playing off the white markers, a great challenge in itself, I tested the plates yesterday and was not disappointed. A brute of a course from back there and not for the fainthearted but if you like a challenge then this is for you. The course is in fabulous condition so you can discount many of the earlier course reviews (from 2011 back) as time , like in most cases, has helped produce a magnificent challenge. Sure, like any developing course, there are still a few "rough" spots but overall it is maturing nicely. Get there ASAP and be tested.

Have played there many times, holding a few social events as well and have now just joined up. I love the challenge that the course throws at you and I'm really looking forward to trying the new layout (revised hole numbering). The par 5 starting hole is a much better proposition than the previous par 3. Will be interesting to see how the new catering and golf packages compare to the previous value for money assortment now that the Clubhouse is open.
